Is this QR code generator really free?
Yes — no sign-up, no watermark, no limit on how many you generate. It runs entirely in your browser.
Does the QR code expire?
Not on its own. Without "Track scans" ticked, it encodes exactly what you typed, directly — there's no server involved and nothing that can expire. With tracking on, the code points at a short horndev.co.za link that we keep running indefinitely.
What does "Track scans" actually send?
Just a count. Each scan pings our server once to increment a number — no location, device, or personal data is collected or stored.
Can I use this for a printed menu or flyer?
Yes. Download the PNG and use it anywhere — print, WhatsApp, your website. For best scanning at small print sizes, keep the link short.
