Terms of Service
Last updated: 2026. These terms apply to any project undertaken with Horn Dev.
Quotes & pricing
All work is quoted in writing before it begins. Agreed prices are fixed for the scope described in the quote — work outside that scope is quoted separately before it starts.
Payment
Unless otherwise agreed, projects require a deposit before work begins, with the balance due on delivery. Specific terms are confirmed in your project quote.
Invoices for Horn Dev projects are issued by Horn Software Architects (HSA), Petrus Horn's registered practice. This is an administrative and invoicing arrangement only — your project is scoped, quoted and delivered through Horn Dev as described in these terms.
Timelines
Delivery estimates are given in good faith based on typical project scope. Timelines depend on how quickly feedback, content, and access (e.g. domain or hosting logins) are provided.
Revisions
Each project includes a reasonable round of revisions as part of the agreed price. Significant changes beyond the original brief are treated as new scope and quoted separately.
Ownership
Once a project is paid in full, you own the website, content, and any custom work delivered to you, excluding any third-party tools, templates, or licensed assets used to build it.
Hosting & domains
Domain and hosting costs are billed separately, at cost. Accounts are set up in your name wherever the provider allows it, so you retain control of your own domain and hosting.
Cancellation
Either party can cancel a project in writing. Work completed up to that point is payable; deposits already covering completed work are non-refundable.
